    Walk along the break wall and paint your own rock. Grab a coffee at the cafe while the kids play at the park or skate park. Gets a bit busy in summer. If you're happy to climb you can sneak around to a secluded section.

    The break wall and the beach are great for walks or runs away from the traffic. Two coffee shops on the route, a play park and public fitness apparatus add to the location.

    A walk along the breakwater provides a good view of Town Beach and the surrounding headland. The rocks on the breakwater are colourful and in many cases provide a narrative of family visits to Port Macquarie.
