We where landlords and because we quiestioned why a maintanence request went unattended for a month, their answer to us was a termination notice ceaseing them as our agent.

I was not allowed to speak to the owners of the business, I sent emails and these were ignored as well.

In the end I received a termination notice advising that I need to vacate the premises at the end of my lease.

I booked a removalist, hired a storage bay, booked cleaners and carpet cleaners, paid rent in advance at my new place....Then and only then was I informed that I could continue to pay rent as per my original lease stated.

They attempted to force me to change the way I pay my rent without my agreement. This is a breach of the Residential Tenancies Act of 2010. I pointed this out to them, they refused to acknowledge their breach and refused no less than 10 times to allow me to continue to pay by the method stated in my lease.

I am just amazed that such a successful business in Port Macquarie could act so unprofessionally and against the Residential Tenancies Act they are meant to abide by.
  • Olivia

The property management team do not know the legislation they are meant to abide by.

I gave 14 days notice to First National Port Macquarie as per my rights as a tenant, as they were in breach of the Act.

Not only did they let us down as landlords but our tenants at the time. It's real estates like these that give lanlords a bad name.
