It is well worthwhile doing a tour of the Observatory at Rotary Park as it gives you a true appreciation of the size of this galaxy!

For a small observatory this is a gem, the 30-40min presentation delivered great practical articulation of knowledge, the chance to hold a piece of meteorite and was thought provoking, view of the half moon and then an excellent view of Saturn was outstanding. For $10 each it was a fabulous investment - we left wowed!!

For just a gold coin donation we were able to see the half moon in the night sky. Make sure to visit on a clear night and aim for a half moon to really get the shadows and see the true detail of the moon. Very friendly staff and very tidy observatory.

We had a great night, unfortunately the visibility was poor on the night we went but we would still recommend checking it out.
